What happens at your free initial assessment

Every new relationship at SME Outsourcing starts the same way: a free initial assessment, at our office in Edgbaston or over the phone, whichever suits you. There is no charge and no obligation. This is what it involves.

Before we meet

Tell us a little about your business when you get in touch — what you do, how you trade (sole trader, partnership or limited company), roughly how long you have been going and what prompted you to contact us. That lets us put the right person in front of you.

What to bring

You do not need everything, but the more we can see, the more useful the conversation:

• your last set of accounts and tax return, if you have them
• recent bank statements or access to your bookkeeping software
• any letters from HMRC or Companies House you are unsure about
• a list of the things that worry you or take up your time

Start-ups: bring your plan, however rough. That is often the most useful document in the room.

What we talk about

We listen first. Then we look at three things together: what you must do to stay compliant (accounts, tax returns, VAT, payroll, filings), what is costing you money or time that need not, and what you are trying to achieve over the next few years. If you are thinking about business finance, a mortgage or training for yourself or your staff, we cover that too, because those services all sit under the same roof here.

What you get at the end

A clear picture of where you stand, plain-English answers to your questions, and — if you would like us to work with you — a tailored proposal setting out exactly which services you want and what they cost. No packages you do not need. From there we get to work: deadlines tracked, filings done, questions answered.
